Welcome to the SVRR

The links on this page contain photos of and information pertaining to the Stiegel Valley Model Railroad Club in Manheim,PA. I've been a member of the club there since November 1991. Our electronics man James Mattern has converted the layout from Analog to DCC to promote operation. I'm just beginning to operate trains and have had the pleasure of operating on two layouts. One is Jeff Warner's PRR/RDG/WM and the other is Bob Martin's CPRR. Both are excellent layouts designed for operation.

The SVRR contains both HO and HOn3 trackage, and prototypically models the town of Manheim,PA, the city of Lancaster,PA and Dillerville Yard, the villages of Lancaster Junction and White Oak. The layout also contains trackage at Penryn Park where an HOn3 shay transports lumber at Strauss Lumber to the standard guage tracks. I built the enginehouse in the photo below to house the shay. The interior is lit and fully detailed.
